Stitch - Ferret on Springs

Originally I wanted to call him Houdini, because he was always escaping from the ferret cage. And he really put my ferret-proofing skills to the test. But he was always up to so much mischief, that I decided on Stitch (from the Disney cartoon).

He’s very adventurous and loves to climb and jump. I once watched him trying to climb up on a radiator for 20 minutes. It was as if he had little springs attached to his back legs, always jumping up trying to get a grip on the radiator with his front paws. Wish I had it on video.

Another time, I was kneeling on the floor and he climbed on my back. Nothing special about that. But then he decided to make a jump for freedom towards the living room door. Now, the lower part of that door is wood, so he knew he couldn’t get through that, the top half is glass. I guess he didn’t realize it was glass when sitting on my back, so he jumped. He looked a bit like one of those cartoon figures who jump a canyon, miss the edge by half an inch and slowly slide down the side…

Luckily, no harm was done, he’s a tough little bugger ;-)
